SPORTS PHYSIOLOGY

Monitoring the core temperatures of athletes in the field is essential to maintaining a safe training environment, and the field of sports physiology utilizes our products in a number of ways. Our sensors can be used to monitor athletes in any setting, on the field, the track, or in the water. The CorTemp system is also useful in monitoring subjects wearing heavy equipment or to compare the core body temperatures of subjects performing brief high intensity workouts vs. prolonged endurance training. Athletes training in over 20 different sports use our products for safety, as well as performance enhancement.

FIREFIGHTING

Our sensors can be used to monitor team members of a workforce that must perform its tasks in severe climates. New or temporary employees working in harsh conditions especially require monitoring during an initial acclimatization period. Those wearing bulky uniforms or carrying heavy equipment are at an increased risk of a heat-related illness. Tracking the temperatures of team members can help to boost productivity, as well as ensuring the safety of the individuals.

RESEARCH & MEDICINE

The effects that intemperate climates can have on the human body are understood in large part due to advances in medical technology and research. Our products play a significant role in researching heat illness/hypothermia in addition to monitoring the core temperatures of patients in a hospital/clinical setting.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY

Our sensors can be used to monitor team members of a workforce that must perform its tasks in severe climates. Tracking the temperatures of team members can help to boost productivity, as well as ensuring the safety of the individuals.

MILITARY

Each branch of the military presents its own unique set of challenges that its uniformed personnel must be ready to perform, and our products are widely used to monitor the human and canine ranks of the armed forces.

ANIMAL

The CorTemp system is equally effective and accurate when monitoring select, appropriately sized animals, as it is when used with human beings. Once ingested, the sensor transmits a harmless, low frequency signal throughout the body. As it passes through the subject’s digestive tract, the sensor will take precise temperature readings at an interval set by the user.
